David is the founder, director and first photographer at Fisher Studios. Born in Australia and emigrating to the UK in his early 20s, David was originally headed for Scotland, but settled for the dreaming spires of Oxford due to its proximity to London and other distractions en route.
David commenced his studies in photography at James Cook University in North Queensland in 1990, the year Adobe Photoshop 1.0 was released, experiencing both the final decade of the analogue era and the beginnings of digital.
David is a keen rower and member of the City of Oxford Rowing Club.

Her personal work lies within the genre of still-life photography and abstraction. She creates carefully constructed images, often inspired by her love of sports, including tennis, running, skiing, cycling and volleyball.

Melissa is the first port of call for our clients, coordinating photo shoots in the studio and on location and managing the workflow through the business to ensure our work is always exceeding expectations.
Having worked in film and television for many years on programmes for the BBC, Channel Four, Discovery Channel, Sky One and independent film companies, she has years of experience in production. One of her greatest moments was working with Dame Joan Plowright on Mrs Palfrey at the Claremont which was directed by the late great Dan Ireland, another was working with Rutger Hauer on an obscure reality show that he was presenting, filmed in a disused and dilapidated Victorian psychiatric institution in Essex.
Melissa is excited to get to grips with the photographic world and work with the friendly team at Fisher Studios. In her spare time, she tries to see as much contemporary dance and ballet as possible at Sadler’s Wells – her favourite theatre in London.
